Text On 27 November 1969, in an effort to maintain close cooperation with France, Willy Brandt, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG), informs the French President, Georges Pompidou, of his plans a few days before the opening of the Hague Summit, due to be held on 1 and 2 December.
