Statement by Christian Pineau on the resolution of the Saar question (27 October 1956)
Son On 27 October 1956, in Luxembourg, Christian Pineau, French Foreign Minister, and his German counterpart, Heinrich von Brentano, sign the agreements which definitively resolve the Saar question and define the terms for the return of the Saar to the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG).
