Letter from Jacques Camille Paris to Jean Monnet (Paris, 5 August 1952)
Texte In his reply, four days after receiving Jean Monnet’s letter dated 1 August 1952, Jacques Camille Paris, Secretary-General of the Council of Europe, assures the future first President of the High Authority that the ECSC Assembly will have complete autonomy concerning decisions on its future, without the services of the Council of Europe having any influence thereon.
