Texte On 13 October 1995, Guntis Ulmanis and Maris Gailis, respectively President and Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia, forward to Javier Solana, Spanish Foreign Minister and President-in-Office of the Council of the European Union (EU), a letter in which they officially apply for Latvia’s accession to the EU.
