The CVCE took part in the workshop ‘Exploring Historical Sources with Language Technology: Results and Perspectives’

On 8 December 2014, Florentina Armaselu, a Researcher at the CVCE, attended the Exploring Historical Sources with Language Technology: Results and Perspectives workshop in The Hague. She presented the paper Text Encoding and Enrichment for Linguistic Analysis: Archives on the policy of Armaments within Western European Union, which she co-authored with Catherine Jones, Digital Humanities Lab Coordinator, and Verónica Martins, Researcher. The paper introduces the partial results of the text digitisation, XML-TEI encoding and corpus analysis carried out in connection with the project ‘Diplomacy within WEU'.
