Text On 31 May 1955, the liberal Netherlands daily newspaper Nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant warns its readers against premature enthusiasm in the light of the discussions due to be held the following day in Messina between the Foreign Ministers of the six Member States of the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC).
