‘A real-life experience: the Berlin airlift’ (RTL, 6 January 1961)
Audio extract Between 24 June 1948 and 12 May 1949, more than 270 000 flights are required to deliver supplies to the Western sectors in Berlin which the Soviet authorities have decided to blockade following a currency reform initiated by the USA, the United Kingdom and France.
