Am 18. Mai 1990, anläßlich der Unterzeichnung des Vertrages über die Währungs-, Wirtschafts- und Sozialunion zwischen der Bundesrepublik Deutschland (BRD) und der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik (DDR), hält der deutsche Bundeskanzler Helmut Kohl in Bonn eine Rede in welcher er die historische Tragweite des Vertrages unterstreicht.

Am 18. Mai 1990, anläßlich der Unterzeichnung des Vertrages über die Währungs-, Wirtschafts- und Sozialunion zwischen der Bundesrepublik Deutschland (BRD) und der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik (DDR), unterstreicht Lothar de Maizière, Ministerpräsident der DDR, die Bedeutung des Vertrages für die Verwirklichung der Einheit Deutschlands.
