On 20 April 1955, in connection with the implementation of the various provisions of the Paris Agreements, James B. Conant, High Commissioner of the US zone of occupation and US Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) from 1953 to 1957, deposits the ratification instruments for the Protocol on the Termination of the Occupation Regime in the FRG with the Federal Government.
