‘Our armies guarantee peace' from Neues Deutschland (23 August 1968)
Text On 23 August 1968, the East German Communist daily newspaper Neues Deutschland supports the entry of Warsaw Pact troops into Czechoslovakia, seeing the move as a sign of solidarity with the Czechoslovak people.
