Texte On 29 January 1963, during the course of the 17th ministerial meeting between the Member States of the European Economic Community (EEC) and the United Kingdom, the French Foreign Minister, Maurice Couve de Murville, justifies France's unilateral decision, taken the previous day, to adjourn the negotiations.
