Texte On 31 May 1950, David Bruce, US Ambassador to Paris, sends a telegram to Dean Acheson, US Secretary of State, in which he describes the reservations of the British with regard to the Schuman Plan and outlines the arguments developed by the two schools of political thought in France concerning the United Kingdom’s participation in the future coal and steel pool.
