Schuman Plan Conference (Paris, 12 April 1951)
Image On 12 April 1951, the Foreign Ministers — Konrad Adenauer, Carlo Sforza, Paul van Zeeland, Dirk Stikker, Joseph Bech and Robert Schuman — of the six countries participating in the Schuman Plan meet in the French Ministry for Foreign Affairs in order to put the finishing touches to the Treaty of Paris establishing the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC), signed on 18 April.
