Treaty establishing the European Coal and Steel Community (Paris, 18 April 1951)
TextThe Treaty establishing the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC) is signed on 18 April 1951 in Paris and enters into force on 23 July 1952. This Treaty is concluded for a period of 50 years from the date of its entry into force.

TextSigned on 18 April 1951, this Protocol annexed to the Treaty establishing the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC) constitutes the legal basis for relations between the Community and the Council of Europe. It establishes an exchange of information between the two organisations and provides for the possibility of strengthening their cooperation by means of future agreements.
