On 5 October 1956, the German trade union weekly Welt der Arbeit invites progressive forces to support the emergence of a unified Europe as advocated by the Action Committee for the United States of Europe (ACUSE) chaired by Jean Monnet.

From 27 to 29 April 1956, at the end of its meeting in Paris, with the help of the Socialist Movement for the United States of Europe (SMUSE), the European Congress of Labour — attended by Paul-Henri Spaak, Sicco Mansholt, Guy Mollet and Jean Monnet — adopts a series of resolutions on the social objectives of the future European Economic Community (EEC).

From 27 to 29 April 1956, with the help of the Socialist Movement for the United States of Europe (SMUSE), the European Congress of Labour — attended by Paul-Henri Spaak, Sicco Mansholt, Guy Mollet and Jean Monnet — holds a meeting in Paris, at the end of which it adopts a resolution on the objectives of Euratom and the conditions for its establishment.

On 23 June 1970, Baron Hubert Ansiaux, Governor of the National Bank of Belgium, Chairman of the Committee of Governors of the Central Banks of the EEC Member States and member of the Werner Committee, writes to his friend Robert Triffin, a Professor at Berkeley College and close associate of Jean Monnet on the Action Committee for the United States of Europe, to inform him and to ask for his support on the question of making progress in the monetary field without prior convergence of economic policies, given the hostility of the German and Dutch representatives in the discussions of the Werner Committee.

In preparation for his address at the 17th meeting of the Action Committee for the United States of Europe (ACUSE), on 23 and 24 February 1971, on the establishment of European economic and monetary union, Pierre Werner, Luxembourg Prime Minister and Finance Minister, receives a letter from Jean Monnet, President of ACUSE, including the draft agenda as well as the draft declaration and resolutions submitted to the Committee.

Le 15 août 1952, Sforza Galeazzo Sforza, Secrétaire du Cabinet de Jacques Camille Paris, se rend à Luxembourg pour remettre deux lettres de la part du Secrétaire général du Conseil de l’Europe au président de la Haute Autorité de la CECA. Dans un compte-rendu du 18 août, il expose ses conversations avec les membres du Cabinet de Jean Monnet au sujet de l’organisation de la première session de l’Assemblée de la CECA à Strasbourg.

Le 30 octobre 1950, Albert Wehrer, ministre du Luxembourg à Bonn adresse un rapport à Joseph Bech, ministre luxembourgeois des Affaires étrangères, dans lequel il rend compte d'une discussion qu'il a eue avec Jean Monnet sur la question du réarmement allemand et du Plan Pleven.
