‘The dawn of a new monetary system’, from L’Expansion
Text In March 1969, Valéry Giscard d’Estaing, MP and former French Minister for Finance and Economic Affairs, writes a long article in the French economic affairs magazine L’Expansion in which he opposes the increase in the price of gold and recommends the introduction of a genuine European currency.
