Meeting between Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Romano Prodi (23 September 2004)
Image On 23 September 2004, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkish Prime Minister, meets Romano Prodi, President of the European Commission, to discuss the opening of negotiations for Turkey’s accession to the European Union. This meeting was an opportunity to address any remaining obstacles preventing the European Commission from making a recommendation on the date for the opening of the accession negotiations.
