In this interview excerpt, Guy de Muyser, Legation Secretary then Legation Counsellor in the International Economic Relations section of the Luxembourg Foreign Ministry from 1961 to 1969, describes the diplomatic efforts made by Luxembourg in the 1960s to attract foreign investment. He mentions some of the Luxembourg diplomats involved in these issues, including Pierre Elvinger, Albert Duhr, Albert Borschette and Jean Dondelinger. Finally, he discusses the Foreign Ministry’s links with the Luxembourg Board of Industrial Development, which was set up to attract US investors to create production sites in Luxembourg.
