Fifty-fifth Franco-German summit in Paris: Helmut Kohl and François Mitterrand (26 April 1990)
Image On 26 April 1990, at the 55th Franco-German consultations at the Élysée Palace, French President François Mitterrand (on the right) and German Chancellor Helmut Kohl express their views on political union in Europe and reaffirm the efforts of their two countries in that direction. They also discuss the economic and monetary consequences of the forthcoming reunification of Germany.
