Draft reply by the French delegation to the Council to Recommendation 351 of the WEU Assembly on the occupation of Afghanistan by Soviet forces (28 October 1980)
Text On 28 October 1980, the French delegation to the Council of Western European Union (WEU) proposes a series of amendments to the draft reply to Recommendation 351 of the WEU Assembly on the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan. The draft reply expresses the grave concern of the ministers at the continued occupation of the country by Soviet troops. The international crisis thus caused calls for a resolute, constant and concerted response on the part of the Allies.
