Discours de Richard Turnbull lors de la cérémonie d'indépendance du Tanganyika (9 décembre 1961)

Le 20 novembre 1961, Richard Gordon Turnbull envoie au bureau britannique des Colonies le discours qu'il souhaite prononcer lors de la cérémonie organisée à l'occasion de la proclamation d'indépendance du Tanganyika le 9 décembre 1961. Richard Turnbull est le dernier gouverneur du Tanganyika (1958-1961). Il devient gouverneur général à l'indépendance du pays.
