At the forum The origins of and developments in European governance: the impact of the Treaty of Rome establishing the European Economic Community (March 1957) organised on 23 and 24 April 2007 by the Pierre Werner Institute in Luxembourg, Jean François-Poncet, Charles Rutten, Pierre Pescatore and Georges Berthoin discuss their memories of the European revival which led to the signing of the Rome Treaties in 1957 and consider the current European crisis.
