‘Chosen by the Grand Jury, the motto for Europe was brought to Brussels by young people from the Union' from the Ouest-France (5 May 2000)

In an article published on 5 May 2000, the daily newspaper Ouest-France, organiser of the competition Une devise pour l’Europe (A motto for Europe), describes the events of 4 May during which the winning motto — ‘Unity in diversity’ — was presented to the President of the European Parliament, Nicole Fontaine.
