Video In the first part of the study day on ‘Central bankers and European integration’, chaired by Piet Clement from the Bank for International Settlements, Frédéric Clavert from the Centre Virtuel de la Connaissance sur l’Europe (CVCE) looks at the founding of the Bank for International Settlements. Ileana Racianu from the University of Geneva then describes the relations between the Governor of the National Bank of Romania, Dimitri Burillianu, and the political authorities in the early 1930s.
