New Year celebrations at the Brandenburg Gate (Berlin, 1 January 1990)
Bild On 1 January 1990, two months after the fall of the Berlin Wall, thousands of Berliners joyfully take part in New Year celebrations at the wall that had come to symbolise the separation of the two German states for almost 30 years.
