In this interview, Íñigo Méndez de Vigo, a Member of the European Parliament from 1992 to 2011, a Member of the Convention on the Charter of Fundamental Rights and a Member of the Convention on the Future of Europe, emphasises the originality of the European integration process and the EU institutions. He particularly discusses Parliament’s role in the resignation of the Santer Commission in 1999.
