In November 1948, French essayist Jean-Marie Domenach, Editorial Secretary of the personalist journal Esprit, strongly criticises the lack of unity and heterogeneity of the movements which claim to be federalist and places particular emphasis on the links that some anti-Communist and pro-European federalists have with representatives of US capitalism.
