On 9 March 1982, Pierre Werner, Luxembourg Minister of State and President of the Government, gives an address in the Luxembourg Chamber of Deputies on Belgium’s decision to devalue the Belgian franc. He reacts particularly strongly to the fact that the Luxembourg Government was left out of the discussions, despite the link between the Belgian and Luxembourg francs.
