On 18 December 1957, the German weekly magazine Der Spiegel comments on the negotiations on the recruitment of officials to be responsible for harmonising the Community administration following the entry into force of the Treaties establishing the European Economic Community (EEC) and the European Atomic Energy Community (EAEC or Euratom).
