Vidéo Video recording of the event organised by the Centre Virtuel de la Connaissance sur l’Europe (CVCE) and the Pierre Werner Foundation on 27 January 2011 in Luxembourg City for the official presentation of the CVCE’s research project on ‘Pierre Werner and Europe’, featuring a lecture by Jean-Claude Juncker, Luxembourg Prime Minister and President of the Eurogroup, entitled ‘From the Werner Plan to the euro: 40 years of success and crisis’. The event also saw contributions by Marianne Backes, Director of the CVCE, Pierre Gramegna, Director of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, Charles Ruppert, President of the Pierre Werner Foundation, Marie-Anne Werner, and Elena Danescu, Researcher at the CVCE, who presented the first results of the project on the 1970 Werner Plan.
