Mémorandum de Lord Pethick-Lawrence sur la conférence de Simla (8 août 1945)

Le 8 août 1945, le secrétaire d’État à l’Inde, Lord Pethick-Lawrence, fait circuler une note, qui date du 15 juillet 1945, du vice-roi des Indes, Lord Archibald Wavell, sur la conférence de Simla. Lord Wavell revient sur le déroulement et les causes de l’échec de la conférence qu’il avait convoquée le 25 juin 1945 pour apaiser les dissensions des communautés indiennes.
