Texte On 11 April 1957, with a view to the imminent opening of negotiations in Geneva on the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), the US State Department draws up a report which sets out the position of the United States vis-à-vis the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community (EEC).
