Communication from the Commission Monitoring report on the state of preparedness for EU membership of Bulgaria and Romania (26 September 2006
Texte On 26 September 2006, the European Commission adopts its final monitoring report on the state of preparedness of Bulgaria and Romania for accession to the European Union (EU). Given the progress made, the Commission considers that these two countries will be in a position to assume the rights and obligations associated with their accession to the EU on 1 January 2007.
