A small country at the heart of Europe

Luxembourg is a small country situated at the very heart of Europe. It lies between France, Belgium and Germany and is close to several European capital cities. The country is notable for the diverse make-up of its population: it welcomes foreign residents and has a thriving multicultural society, which makes for a highly international working environment.

Luxembourg City, whose old quarters and fortifications were included on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1994, is also home to several European institutions. The Court of Justice of the European Union and the Court of First Instance, Eurostat, the EU Publications Office, the European Court of Auditors and the European Investment Bank all have their seat in Luxembourg.
