On 22 May, Viviane Reding, a Member of the European Parliament, was invited to the CVCE to give an interview in connection with both the ‘Pierre Werner and Europe’ research project and the project for the Luxembourg Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half of 2015.

In her historical account, Viviane Reding spoke about the origins of her European commitment, various milestones in European integration that she witnessed and was involved in, and the major role played by Luxembourg and its politicians in the European integration process.

The ‘Pierre Werner and Europe’ research project, coordinated by Dr Elena Danescu, is dedicated to the European vocation and achievements of Pierre Werner, a former Prime Minister, Finance Minister and Foreign Minister of Luxembourg.
