CIDEM

CIDEM is a French non-profit association that specialises in questions relating to civics and democracy. It was set up in 1984 in response to a wish expressed by several associations to develop activities in favour of citizenship education and to promote democracy. The organisation has continued to develop to meet the needs of society and to affirm its identity and its unique vocation. CIDEM currently has 11 member associations with extremely varied origins and fields of action, united by the same desire to contribute to the development of independent, responsible citizens joined in solidarity. It is a resource centre for anyone seeking to learn about, take part in or develop their sense of citizenship. Its mission is to encourage citizen commitment.

ANIMAFAC

The French association Animafac is a network for exchanging experience and a resource centre for students. Animafac offers tools for development and spaces for establishing dialogue and joint projects to more than 12 000 student organisations in France. In its efforts to provide information for student organisations and to support them in their projects, the network offers:

  • an interactive website with several feature articles and practical resources;
  • training throughout France and sometimes across Europe.

The Pierre Werner European Cultural Institute (IPW)

The Pierre Werner European Cultural Institute (IPW) is a major cultural player in Luxembourg.Its role is to stimulate cultural diversity, intellectual exchanges and ideological debates in Europe. It is a non-profit association under Luxembourg law, set up in 2003 on the initiative of the French, German and Luxembourg Governments. The IPW organises interdisciplinary projects on European issues. Its unique mission is based on the notion of a Europe of culture, which transcends the cultures of each country — without disregarding them — and strives for mutual enrichment.

The University of Trier (Centre in European Studies) is involved in our project both as content provider and also as a relay point to inform and raise awareness among its students.

Asko Europa Stiftung

The ASKO EUROPA-STIFTUNG is a foundation with legal personality under German civil law. It is a public-interest organisation that is not affiliated with any political party or religious organisation. The ASKO EUROPA-STIFTUNG was set up in 1990 by ASKO Deutsche Kaufhaus AG and ASKO Vereinigung e.V. (both based in Saarbrücken).The ASKO EUROPA-STIFTUNG is located in Saarbrücken, at the centre of the ‘Saar-Lor-Lux’ Greater Region and at the heart of Europe, near the European decision-making centres of Strasbourg, Luxembourg and Brussels.
