The history of the European Council in photos (1994–2009)
Text This photo album, published by the General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union, traces the history of the European Council from the Corfu European Council on 24 June 1994, which focused on the fourth enlargement of the European Union, to the first session of the European Council as a fully-fledged institution in December 2009.
