The Treaties establishing the European Economic Community (EEC) and the European Atomic Energy Community (EAEC or Euratom), signed in Rome in 1957, lay down the basis for the scheme for the allocation of the financial contributions made by Member States to the EEC general budget and to Euratom’s operating budget and research and investment budget.
