Memorandum from the Italian Government on further integration (Messina, 1 June 1955)
Text On 1 June 1955, the first day of the Messina Conference, the Italian Government submits a memorandum to the other Member States of the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC) in which it emphasises the need to coordinate economic policies in the future Common Market.
