Development of the European Parliament's legislative competence (from the Treaty of Rome to the Treaty of Lisbon)
Table In accordance with the successive reforms of the Treaty establishing the European Community and the Treaty on European Union, this table presents the development of the main legal procedures governing Community policies in order to show the changes in the legal competence of the European Parliament from the Treaty of Rome in 1957 to the Treaty of Lisbon signed in 2007.
