Council Decision 2001/78/CFSP setting up the Political and Security Committee (22 January 2001)
Text On 22 January 2001, pursuant to Article 25 of the Treaty on European Union, the Council sets up a Political and Security Committee (PSC) with special responsibility for keeping track of the international situation in the areas falling within the scope of the common foreign and security policy (CFSP), for helping to define policies and for monitoring the implementation of agreed policies.
