Address given by Willy Brandt to the United Nations General Assembly (New York, 26 September 1973)
Text On 26 September 1973, Willy Brandt becomes the first Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) to address the United Nations General Assembly in New York. In his address, Brandt emphasises the European Communities’ peaceful intentions and determination to contribute actively to the policy of détente in Europe.
