Address by President Apithy to the Dahomey Territorial Assembly (4 December 1958)

Text

After the referendum held on 28 September 1958 returns a vote in favour of integration into the French Community, the Republic of Dahomey is proclaimed on 4 December and Sourou Migan Apithy becomes President of the Government Council. In his address to the Territorial Assembly, President Apithy discusses relations between Dahomey and France.
