Europa Forum: History and Current Affairs (Luxembourg, 2006–2008)

As a partner of the University of Luxembourg's MA course in Contemporary European History, the CVCE here provides access to the lecture series ‘Europa Forum: History and Current Affairs'.

These lectures, held at the University of Luxembourg's Limpertsberg campus, were aimed at MA students and anyone interested in the European integration process.

They combined a series of public lectures with training sessions about the history of European integration and current affairs. Senior European officials and important figures who have been closely involved in the European integration process were invited to explain the European venture, to share their experiences and to lead discussions.

The programme for the 2006/07 winter semester included lectures by Philippe Maystadt, President of the European Investment Bank (EIB), Jim Cloos, Director of General Political Questions at the Secretariat-General of the Council of the European Union, and Jean-Claude Juncker, Luxembourg Prime Minister and President of the Eurogroup.
