Text De inleiding tot de globale richtsnoeren voor het economisch beleid (GREB) voor het jaar 2000 illustreert zeer goed de coördineerde rol van de Raad: niet alleen beschrijft ze het waarom van de formele structuur van het besluit zoals dit elk jaar door de Raad is aangenomen, maar ze bevat ook een kadertje over hun betekenis en inhoud.
