Text On 10 May 1955, the French daily newspaper Le Figaro emphasises that the Warsaw Conference (11–14 May 1955), which culminated in the signing of the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance (Warsaw Pact), simply confirms the state of affairs existing since the Korean War.
