Reaction to the empty chair crisis (RTL, 12 July 1965)
Ton On 30 June 1965, France disagrees with its five EC partners on agricultural issues and refuses to attend meetings of the Six. However, the meetings of other international institutions provide France with an opportunity to resume the dialogue and find a solution to the ‘empty chair crisis'.
