Letter from Jean Monnet to Cornelius Wilhelmus van Wingerden (9 February 1957)
Text On 9 February 1957, Jean Monnet, President of the Action Committee for the United States of Europe (ACUSE), sends a letter to Cornelius Wilhelmus van Wingerden, Chairman of the Dutch Trade Union Federation and member of ACUSE, in which he welcomes the success of the visit paid to the United States and Canada by Europe’s ‘Three Wise Men’ (Louis Armand, Franz Etzel and Francesco Giordani) in order to prepare their report on Euratom.
