Referendum on the Maastricht Treaty in Denmark (2 June 1992)
On 2 June 1992, the Danes reject the Maastricht Treaty in a referendum; 50.7 % vote against it, despite the large-scale campaign led by the principal political parties, the trade unions and the major newspapers for a ‘yes’ vote.
